Hey you get what you pay for, this is a cheap tip guide for hunting white tails. I am a beginner hunter and not even I was really impressed with this. If you have been hunting for a long time, I would not recommend this book. If you are a rookie hunter and want to know some of the vanilla basics, this is fine but a lot of this stuff is free to read online.Product details

Includes information even for people who already hunt. A pleasant read. I would recommend it to any avid deer hunter
This whitetail deer hunting guide is well suit for beginners, but also will give the advanced hunter a better insight to the whitetail. Andrew goes into great detail with regards to the right gear for hunting, whether you would like to use a rifle or bow. I especially like the tips with gun safety and being aware of pitfalls that could cause an accident. All in all a great read and it is right for the serious deer stalker!
One of the things I like most in a book is passion, (I'm not talking about the bedroom type here). I like to read books that are not only informative but that exude a passion for the subject matter.
Mr Saari has passion in bucket loads for nature, the environment and the animals we share our planet with.
This guide is sensitve to and respectful of all the above. The masterclass section of the book was a real winner. A very well written guide.

I was looking for additional tips and tricks, but if you have ever hunted before, you probably know most of the information this book has to offer. Waste of my time and money.
This book is extremely simplistic, and almost reads more as an 'introduction to the sport of hunting' for non-hunters than a specific deer-hunting guide.
You can learn much more from Wikipedia than you will ever learn in this book, so it's definitely not worth the money. Any somewhat experienced hunters will just be annoyed by the lack of detail and the fact that it really doesn't discuss any 'Whitetail Tactics' and is full of pithy commentary.
Here's an example Chapter 5 is on 'Gun Safety'. You'd normally expect that anyone buying a book on a specific type of prey would be either somewhat familiar with the basic tools, or would look for a book specifically on that (e.g., Bows & Bowhunting, Rifles, etc.). The opening sentences "Hunting with weapons is fun and exciting. But, it is also potentially dangerous."

Books like this are annoying - it has a nice cover, and now I feel like a sucker for buying it!
